TBparts adjustable rear shock for the Kawasaki KLX140!

We worked with DNM to make a rear shock geared toward racing on a MX track!

First our shock uses a heavy 350# spring.

This gives you the base to stiffen up your suspension and push it harder and farther!

Next is the adjustability to the compression and rebound.

This works much better than the OEM shock and allows you to dial the shock in to your exact preferences and needs with just a few clicks.

The stroke of this shock is also longer (At least 14mm from what we measured) giving you more travel at the rear wheel!

Once install your KLX140 will be much better suited for MX applications.

This will work with all models, but we recommend you at least have HD fork springs if you use this rear shock (Front fork Springs are very soft).

This rear shock offers huge value and performance compared to an OEM KLX140L shock that goes for $350+ !

Installation Note – Please inspect your OEM shock bolts, linkage bolts, and bushings/bearings.

If they are worn or bent your suspension will not function properly and it will cause excessive wear.

Also be sure all linkage bolts stay torqued to spec.

These are common issues we see that can easily be avoided,

they ensure a smooth feel and long life out of your rear shock.

After seeing many aggressive riders tear apart KLX110 wheels racing them on mini MX tracks,

we wanted to bring a new high quality and affordable option to the market.

So, our wheels come ready to run from bearings to the rim! Starting out,

we had the factory install high quality NTN bearings with the proper spacer behind/between them.

Next, is our OEM style “bolt in place” cast aluminum hub painted in silver to match the OEM brake panel

(our TB logo is also cast in).

For added strength, we used stiffer/harder Stainless Steel spokes

that are weather resistant compared to the basic steel OEM spokes.

Wrapping up the complete wheels, are the aircraft grade 7050 aluminum rims in satin black with the TBparts.com logo!

Important Notes –

    We recommend re-torquing your axle nut after the first 15 min of ride time.

We TQ the front to 15ft-lbs and the rear to 19ft-lbs or you can use the OEM specs of 32ft-lbs for the front and 47ft-lbs for the rear.

Its a good idea to check and adjust your chain while doing this.
After 1 hour of ride time the spokes should be checked to make sure they are tight.

Keeping your spokes tight is a good way to ensure a long life out of the wheel.

True your wheels for best results.
The steel brake drum is painted to avoid rust for storage, it will wear in once used.

Add the 6mm larger VM26 carburetor (that utilizes the stock air box)

This kit does not require boring of the case – simply bolt on and go! There are no installation instructions, but if you can replace your piston, you can install this kit.
